How does UNDP do business

Procurement functions conducted by UNDP Tanzania encompass all actions necessary for the acquisition, by purchase or lease, of goods, works and/or services. These functions are carried out in strict compliance with UNDP global procurement mechanisms, and in accordance with financial, technical and administrative international competitive bidding guidelines. Adherence to this established protocol presents prospective bidders an equal opportunity to bid for required goods and/or services. It also ensures maximum ethical conformity and transparency,while safeguarding an adequate competitive level

Procurement Methods:

The standard methods used by UNDP Tanzania for procurement of goods, works and/or services are as follows.

  • Request for Quotations (RFQ)
  • Invitation to Bid (ITB)
  • Request for Proposals (RFP)
  •  Direct Contracting
